A Manly Layout

We made this layout for our cat Pookie.  He's all boy, so nothing short of a masculine layout would do.  Unfortunately, the picture was ruined but I'll talk more about that in tomorrow's post.

To make this layout you will need

1- 12x12 black cardstock
1- brown cardstock
1- 12x12 Everyday Fun Ziggity Paper by My Mind's Eye (coming soon to our store)
1- 12x12 Everyday Fun Party Paper by My Mind's Eye (coming soon to our store)
1- 12x12 Everyday Fun Picnic Paper by My Mind's Eye (coming soon to our store)
3- flowers in a manly print
3- mini paper clips
3- gears(we used the Tim Holtz ones)

A dark colored spray mist
A black ink pad
Some black bling
Some brads
Some ribbon
Tim Holtz Idea-ology MINI MASK FLOURISH AND CROWN Regal Stencil Tool

Email us at info@everything4scrapbooking.com to buy papers listed is (coming soon) now before they are put in our store.  As always our price will be the lowest found online.

To make this layout
1) Cut Everyday Fun Ziggity Paper by My Mind's Eye to 11 by 11 and lightly ink the edges
2) Center and glue/tape it to the black cardstock.  Make sure to leave a little room in to top right to fit the paper clips under.
3) Cut a 12x6 inch strip of Everyday Fun Picnic Paper and glue/tape it 1. 5 inches from the bottom of the paper.  Note that in the picture we only used a piece that was 12x5 and had a different piece of paper that was 12x1 below it.  However, I am not sure what the 2nd paper was although it is likely that it's from the Everyday Fun My Mind's Eye Collection.
4) Glue a piece a ribbon down roughly 1 inch from the bottom of your 12x6 Everyday Fun Picnic paper.  If you use two pieces of paper here make sure to cover the spot they touch with your ribbon.
5) Cut two 6x8 squares out of the Everyday Fun Party Paper
6) On the star side of one ink around the edges with black ink.
7) On the dotted side of the other one using the Tim Holtz Idea-ology MINI MASK FLOURISH AND CROWN and some dark mist add the crown and a little shading along the edge of the paper.
8) Cut the brown cardstock just barely bigger then the dotted side of the paper and matte the dotted paper on top of it.
9) Add them to your layout is seen in the picture.
10) Add the flowers with gear centers, black bling, banners(made of scrap paper), and brads to the layout to finish embellishing it.

I hope you find this layout inspirational and the instructions easy to fallow if you duplicate it.  Please let me know if you have any questions at all.
