Scrapbooking with Transparencies

The key to making a really pretty page with transparencies is lots of layers.

Take the fallowing layout for example.  It uses Floral Ledger from Fancy Pants Designs and can be found in our store.

Our bottom layer is a 12x12 wood grain scrapbook paper.

Then we took Floral Ledger transparency and cut it in half so we wouldn't waist the part that goes under our photos.  We affixed it to the right side of the layout.

On the other side of the layout we used 3 pictures to make a border.

Then we used two more borders to make borders on either side of the pictures.

On top of the transparency we put an accessory with birds on it.

On top of that we put the title that we made for the page.

On top of the title we put a tag.

At the thickest point this layout is 6 layers deep, but it doesn't look like it.

That's why transparencies are great.  By putting things both in front of and behind them you can make scrapbook layouts that have depth to them.
